When native controls time out but leave late reward files, the original collector holds the result and needs separate retention before cleanup. Add a source-bound
biotasks retainlifecycle and integrate it into serial generation: preserve original bytes, verify publication/readback, finish only the original exact-worker cleanup, and record an unaccepted outcome. A fully retained failure can finish its group; unknown failures, incomplete evidence and admission holds still block later execution.The original scientific journal, native rewards, validation source and frozen generation worker assets remain unchanged. Support is limited to the pinned native reward-disagreement family; no task/model/parser repair or new acceptance rule.
Validation: 129 locked tests plus lint, format, types and hooks pass. The actual installed-wheel CLI verified the archived failure through local preservation with transport/credentials forbidden. Separate source-candidate evidence covers anonymous HF readback and importing completed cleanup; fresh native execution/cleanup through this candidate is not established. Exact evidence and limits.
