The spec for the figure element's ARIA role, state and property allowances states:
If the figure has a valid figcaption descendant:
No role other than figure, which is NOT RECOMMENDED.
What does a "valid figcaption" mean in this case? I assume it means a figure with a direct figcaption child (disallowing nested figures with figcaptions). But is there a case where a figcaption could ever be invalid for the figure?
