Hi, I'm Nrupesh 👋

I'm a Software Development Engineer II at Amazon, working in Amazon Business in Madrid 🇪🇸.

Before Madrid I spent 3.5+ years at Amazon Payments in Bengaluru, building high-scale checkout and payment systems used by millions of customers. I care about system design, cutting latency, and GenAI tooling (RAG-powered tools, agents and MCP servers).

  • 🏃 Away from work, I'm usually out running. My runs are on my site and Strava.

Highlights

  • Led 1-step Checkout for Retail and Grocery at Amazon, cutting checkout latency by ~1s.
  • Brought multi-factor authentication page load time down from ~6s to ~100ms with full-stack prefetching.
  • Built a RAG-powered Slackbot (1000+ queries a month), and won a hackathon with an MCP server for Amazon Shopping.
