I am a microbiology researcher with interests in environmental microbiology, microbial bioremediation, bacterial genomics, and bioinformatics.
My research focuses on understanding and utilizing environmental bacteria for the remediation of pollutants. My MS research at Bangladesh Agricultural University investigated bacteria isolated from textile-effluent-impacted environments, with a focus on textile dye degradation and hexavalent chromium [Cr(VI)] tolerance and reduction.
I am also interested in connecting experimentally observed microbial functions with their genomic and metabolic potential through whole-genome sequencing and bioinformatics.
