No-loop, big-jump-loop and short cross-team reduction kernels without a thread_limit clause get fewer threads per team, down to 32, and more teams again (ROCm/llvm-project ol-grid-lowtrip-fix). Kernels with a thread_limit or num_teams clause keep their grid.
