Feature description

It would be great if the gallery app allowed users to crop and annotate an image in the same editing session, without requiring the cropped image to be saved first.

Currently, the workflow requires:

  1. Open the image
  2. Crop the image
  3. Save the cropped image
  4. Reopen the newly saved image
  5. Start annotating it

It would be much more convenient if cropping and annotation could be performed together.

Why do you want this feature?

This would make the workflow significantly faster for tasks such as:

  • Cropping screenshots and then adding arrows or highlights
  • Cropping a photo and adding text/annotations
  • Quickly marking up a specific portion of an image
  • Sharing annotated screenshots without creating intermediate files

It would also avoid cluttering the gallery with temporary cropped copies just to perform the next editing step.
