Apache File Server & 4chan Thread Visualizer

A Chrome extension designed to transform standard Apache directory indexes and 4chan board/thread listings into a clean, media-focused gallery grid, heavily optimized for accessibility, keyboard navigation, and performance.

Features

  • Classic Yotsuba B Styling: Replicates 4chan's signature cream, peach, and slate post design natively across all directories and boards, removing heavy rounded corners, shadows, and modern fonts in favor of Arial, solid lines, and minimal aesthetics.
  • Complete Keyboard Navigation (WASD):
    • Flat Grid Pages: Move focus cleanly column-by-column using W/A/S/D and open items in the lightbox using Space.
    • Thread List Boards: Select threads using W or S (auto-centers target thread) and open them in a new tab using Space.
  • Adaptive Shortcuts Helper: A floating helper panel in the bottom-left corner that updates in real-time, showing the correct keys for page navigation, selection, and media controls (Play/Pause, Seek, etc.) depending on whether the lightbox is active or you are playing a video.
  • Text & Media Comments: Renders post comments under thumbnails and integrates text-only posts directly into the visualizer grid as Yotsuba B-styled text cards.
  • Background Crawler & 429 Prevention: Dynamically loads pages 2–10 sequentially in the background while you browse page 1, using CDN-safe fetching limits to prevent rate limit blocking.
  • Static Video Thumbnails: Resolves video cards directly to their static CDN thumbnail image, eliminating raw video preloads on page startup.
