Does FluidVoice Mac forget / stop hearing from mic for anyone?

I use my laptop sometimes in clamshell and open mode, and I have it connected to AirPods and some other devices sometimes. Sometimes, FluidVoice doesn't pick the right device although Safari does. On the overlay which appears when speaking, there is no device selection option either.

Anyone faced this?

Edit to add: After searching a bit, I found input voice priority. I wish this were easier to discover.

PS: I know the MacBook mic is deactivated during clamshell mode. My question is only about forgetting/picking a wrong audience device.
